You can listen to TwinEagles Radio without an account and without telling us anything. This page explains what the website collects when you use its features, which cookies are used, and how to have your information removed. It covers twineaglesradio.net. The listener app has its own privacy page.
1. Who we are
TwinEagles Radio is an internet radio station run by Twin Eagles Broadcasting, Clarks, Nebraska, with an office in Sioux City, Iowa. "We" and "us" on this page mean the station.
2. What we collect and why
We only collect what you type into a form or what a feature needs to work.
| When you… | We keep | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Create a listener account | Username, email address, a scrambled (hashed) password, your profile details and game scores | To sign you in, show leaderboards and reset a forgotten password |
| Request a song or send a shout-out | The name, song and message you type, an email address if you add one, and your IP address | So the DJ can play it and reply, and to block repeat spam |
| Chat, post on a listener wall or the Swap Shop | Your display name, message, and any contact details you choose to publish | To show your post; Swap Shop listings expire on their own |
| Sign up for the weekly email | Your email address and when you confirmed it | To send the weekly update. Every email has an unsubscribe link. |
| Submit music, apply to DJ, or ask about advertising | What you type in the form, including any photo, audio and links | To review it and get back to you |
| Open a support ticket or report a bug | Your email, your message and basic technical details about your browser | To answer and fix the problem |
| Call in to a live show | Your name or number as shown to the DJ, and the call audio if the show is recorded | To put you on air. Calls may be broadcast and recorded. |
| Vote on a song, an idea or an indie artist | Your vote and a random ID made by your browser, never your name | To count one vote per person |
| Turn on push alerts | The push address your browser gives us | To send the alerts you asked for. Turning them off deletes it. |
Like every website, ours receives your IP address with each request. Our web host keeps standard server logs for security. The audio stream is served by our streaming provider (AzuraCast on Asura Hosting), which counts listeners and records which app or browser is listening. We use those totals, which do not identify you, for royalty reporting and to tell sponsors how many people listen.
3. Cookies, analytics and ads
The website itself does not set tracking cookies. Signing in uses a token stored in your browser, not a cookie. Two Google services do use cookies:
- Google Analytics counts visits, pages viewed and roughly where visitors are (city level), so we know which pages people use. Google's own privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.
- Google AdSense shows ads on some pages. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com, or opt out of many third-party ad cookies at aboutads.info/choices. How Google uses this information: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site and the stream keep working without them. The pop-out player, the embeddable player and the listener app carry no ads.
4. Kept only in your browser
Some settings never leave your device: your volume, stream quality, the shows you follow without an account, songs you have voted on, game themes and progress, and which notices you have closed. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
5. Who sees it
Station staff and volunteer DJs see what you send through the station's own software. Our web host stores it in the United States. We do not sell your information or share it with advertisers. We give it to someone else only when the law requires it, or to protect listeners or the station from fraud or abuse.
Some things are public because that is their purpose: chat messages, approved wall posts, Swap Shop listings, indie artist profiles, leaderboard names and contest winners (first name and last initial).
6. How long we keep it
- Accounts: until you ask us to delete yours.
- Requests, shout-outs, votes and contest entries: until staff clear them.
- Support tickets, DJ applications and music submissions: as long as they are useful, and deleted on request.
- Server logs and backups: backups are replaced after 14 days.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete what we hold about you, and we will do it within 30 days. Email web@twineaglesradio.net with the name or email address you used. You can unsubscribe from the weekly email with the link in any issue. Depending on where you live (for example Nebraska, Iowa, California or the EU), you may have further rights; we honour them whether or not the law strictly applies to a station our size.
8. Children
The station is for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it. Contests have their own age limits; see the contest rules.
9. Contact and changes
Questions or requests: web@twineaglesradio.net, or open a ticket on the Support page. If we change this policy, the date at the top changes, and a big change is announced on the homepage.
